Vintage Sasha Doll Puppen Morgenthaler Paraphernalia Books, Photos, Brochures RARE

  
For your consideration is this lovely collection of vintage preloved used Sasha Morgenthaler paraphernalia. Being limited to only 12 photos I have tried to capture as much as I can to show the items and condition which I believe to all be out of print. Loft find once belonging to a family member consisting of the following which are described to the best of my knowledge, so any questions please ask. All in all they are in very good condition and nothing deters from this interesting and valuable historic collectables. Sasha Dolls Through the Years by Dorisanne Osborn Reference Book.

This is the Hardcover 1999 by Gold Horse Publishing, complete with dust jacket. A collectors guide of the superb dolls first designed by the Swiss artist Sasha Morgenthaler during the 1940's... 64 pages with over 200 colour photographs. Studio dolls (1940's to 1975), German Sasha (Gotz 1964 to 1970) and Frido/Trendon England dolls 1965 to 1986. Dust jacket is marked, creased, some smudges etc but has protected the main book which has a few age related marks and free of any writings/notes or tears.

Sasha- Puppen (Sasha Dolls) Large coffee table book of 120 pages. A wonderful hardback book written by Annemarie Monteil, Barbara Cameron Morgenthaler and published by Bentli Verlag, Switzerland 1999. This appears to be about Sasha Morgenthaler's life and the studio dolls made, text is in English and German with stunningly beautiful photographs bringing alive her personal collection and those exhibited in the Munich Doll museum. The glorious scarlet red fabric? Book has been protected by the glossy dust jacket which has some creases and tiny marks/feint scratches over it and it has done the job well..

The books pages are more weighty like thin card with a matt finish and free from any written notes, yellowing or tears from what I can see, the spine is intact but does have a slight curve which is probably from storage, I think this could be remedied by placing heavier books on top to straighten. Glossy professional photos x 6 depicting Sasha Dolls in clothing.

These look to be on mulberry paper (some of the glue is actually coming away so a couple of the photos are loose) Beautiful close up detailed photographs of early Sasha Dolls. A double sided ABCETA PLAYTHINGS LTD STOCKPORT CHESHIRE ENGLAND Price List. (slight yellowing due to age).

A mini (6 pages) black and white brochure "Where do Sashas come from" by Sara Doggart January 1982. Photos of Sasha Morgenthaler, the factory and workers showing the manufacturing of the dolls with written text. A selection of photocopy paper images of Sasha Dolls and clothing and a double page spread from a doll magazine Aug/Sept 1999 about the late Elizabeth Scott dressing her dolls in period clothing and presented at the Dunstable Museum. A couple of small random photos of dolls (writing on the back) and 4 small Gotz tag brochures 1999/2000 each containing images of different dolls/clothing. Catalogue number 18 Issue 1 October 1980...

6 pages (with additional supplementary insert showing new clothes). Catalogue number 7 issue 1... This is undated but appears to be of early dolls 1960/70's? Sasha Doll limited edition 1982 (Pintucks).

Each has some age related marks and a couple of creases.. No tears and are intact. All in all lovely rare vintage items with some age related wear, have been stored in a dry loft wrapped in a cloth sheet.

These perhaps are suitable for the collector, or anyone who wishes to research details on Sasha dolls and their clothing as the designs are stunning, particularly in the coffee table book.
