A brilliant Ernest Nister E. Dutton verse book with changing images flip pictures!! An original of course, I've only ever seen a handful of the originals.

Most you find to be reproductions. A beautifully illustrated with 16 pages total. With 6 amazing changing chromolithograph images to match the story. This book measures 7 and 3/4 by 6 and 3/4 inches. Verses by Maud Carlton and images by Miss H.

Note that there is heavy cosmetic damage here. I discovered it to have numerous old tears which were taped. There is heavy chipping as these pages are extremely delicate and brittle.

All images and pop out images intact and unscathed. As for the other images, I cannot tell if the water color is purposely put in or it is part of the original illustrations. The binding is delicate and some pages may be lose.

None the less, an extremely rare piece. Will consider offers within reason. If you are skeptical please send me a message! I work very hard as a stay at home mother of two but I don't sell vintage children's books just for the profit, I do it because I love and cherish them. We live in a generation that has lost respect for books and the love of reading them with all of the high tech gadgets around today.

My goal is to teach my children the importance and history of books and hopefully respect them as I do one day. Too many sellers out there want perfect collectors items and will discard books for minor cosmetic flaws and damage.

This is more than disappointing to me and I make it a point to repurpose and mend damage to recirculate classic and beloved books back into the world because they are in affect becoming ever so scarce. Beloved children's books that people lived in their yesteryear are vanishing and my mission is to bring your favorite pastime stories back to you. Perfection should not be a do or die mission just because there is a tear one inch long on a page. The integrity of these stories are TIMELESS, if it can be fixed, it will survive countless additional years and hopefully inspire a new generation of storybook lovers!
