Several unusual recipes I have not seen in any of my other cookbooks. Cook Book & Household Receipts - it does have its title page. Boston, Peoples's publishing co. 7.5" by 5.5" w/ 454 pages - not illustrated. 13 pages for the table of contents!

Soups, fish, sauces, pickles, meats, vegetables, salads, puddings, pastries, creams, desserts, preserves, jellies, butter, cheese, eggs, breads, cakes, beverages, invalid cookery, misc. Plus a few more //. I especially like this one because they not only have the contents in front [listed by groups] but an alphabetical index in back.

And it has several unusual recipes I have not seen in any of my other cookbooks. Have a calf's head? Partridge - 6 recipes / if you like to pickle things - there are a few unusual recipes in here.

All of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees. Very good plus [possibly excellent] condition....

For its age - 1883. Boards - very secure, 3 very light spots on back cover. Very good back - small pinholes to front joint [shown]. Spine ends - very good - curled under. Inner hinges - pretty good. Pages - generally very clean. Rips /folds - none that I saw. Textblock edges are red /. A UNUSUAL ONE FOR YOUR KITCHEN! Please Add me to your Favorites list. Don't panic, I will get to ASAP. T can take up to 14 days to get back East. All others please contact me. This book is very old and. May have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke].

Dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! My nose doesn't work like it use to. So the old book smell doesn't bother me.

As far as I can tell -this book does have a slight light odor, I have put extra dryer sheets in it - should be smelling fine in a month or so!
