Rare Victorian Backgammon set, poss T. Forgie Glasgow, Antique Books shape case

  
Set with stunning look and beauty of vintage books. Books with title campain in the Crimea. Only makers mark i found is on side of case as seen in last two photos. After research i found nearly identical item, same size technique and craftsmanship. Forgie of Buchanan Street Glasgow. I reckon this probably dates from the late victorian era. Made of wood, cover in real leather, with decor and golden guild as vintage books of 19 century. It comes with 2 shakers original , 4 dice , not sure if original dice and 30 wooden original playing pieces , 15 black & 15 white, and a double sided playing board. The board is approx 500mm x 450mm when open, 450mm x250mm x 90mm when close. In good original vintage condition consider its age, with age related wear scratches, i suppose it could be restored but i like the vintage look of this item and never consider a restoration. Box remains absolutely sturdy and solid some wooden plaing pieces have small cracks from age.
