Rare Salesman Sample Antique Textile Book Men's Art Deco Fashion Suits 1926

  

This is a rare and massive tailor's salesman sample book for the M. Born and Company Spring/ Summer 1926. The book contains over 250 textile samples that can be selected for men's clothing, particularly suits and formal wear.

It's a fascinating and unique collection, great reference material. There are also dozens of full color full page illustrations that show modeled suits. The book measures 21 inches wide, 18 inches high and 1.75 inches deep. Tight binding with intact pages, wear to covers. The pages are thick cardboard like stock.

There are a few empty pages where samples have been removed, about 33 are missing. Some samples have holes or have some cut downs but the majority are intact and very vivid. A very hard to find item, these where likely discarded after seasons ended.
