Rare'The Sixties by Kishin' Out of Book in Mint Condition. Finally published outside of Japan, a rare gem from Kishin Shinoyama, one of the masters of Japanese photography. This dazzling collection of photographs of Japan in the 60s by Kishin Shinoyama offers a monograph on the artist in addition to an accurate portrayal of a period and setting. About 400 black-and-white and full-color photographs are presented in this volume. It is not the cover photo that drew my attention.

I saw another picture, the twin. It was like a punch in my stomach! Immediately I started a search for the photographer Kishin Shinoyama. I didn't know this book.....

I didn't know this photographer! His visual language remembers me of the visual language of Helmut Newton..... The women of Newton are strong and self conscious. Kishin gives another quality to his pictures. The awareness of the body and the way Kishin is using the erotic charisma is in my opinion for more interesting than what you see looking to the Newton pictures. The printing and binding is fine. The only minor point is the crappy introduction.
