To see my son's old books. And blind stamped decorated covers. It DOES have its title page. Scotland Illustrated: With Pen and Pencil. Samuel Green and Thomas Faulkner. New York Hurst and Co. Circa 1885 -probably 1st edt. LARGE size = apx 11.25" by 9". More pictures down below of the apx 150 illustrations. ALMOST EVERY PAGE IS ILLUSTRATED! Shown in the pictures down below, under the list of illustrations - they name all the places. I call it a tour guide because it goes into such great detail of all the places. Or just about everything, Scotland had to offer back then.

From Edinburgh to Glasgow, Clyde, western coast, highlands, Stirling to Inverness, Eastern Coast, Deeside, and the Far North. Castles, Abbeys, nature, ports, lighthouses, bridges. As they are part of the description. I have had a few of these for sale in the past, but none so nice.

Boards and textblock very secure. One small rip on the last page. No other rips or folds that I saw. Someone covered the publisher's info on the title page, then someone tried to rip it off making a small hole. If I missed anything, it was unintentional.

The following images are in this book. This book is very old and. May have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke].

Dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference! My nose doesn't work like it use to. So the old book smell doesn't bother me. As far as I can tell -this book has no smell.
