Here we have a Rare Antique Napoleonic Prisoner of War Book Shaped Straw Work Jewellery Box. Handmade Hinged Lid, internal faded mirror and 4 compartments in base. On the top is a straw work image most probably of the prison where he was kept and on the base is a different view of houses and trees. The straw work is in fair condition for age. The internal compartments are in good condition, one.
Still showing original green colour. The base of the box still showing some original green colour. Size: 6.5 inches (16.5cm) x 4 inches (10cm) x 2 inches (5cm).
