After the first edition, first printing, the book was printed under a different publisher with an altered title and binding. Printings after the first/first were published by Thomas Y. Crowell & Co, "For Boys and Girls" was dropped from the title and the binding was changed to green cloth boards with gilt lettering on the cover and spine.

Sicker on front paste down with Christmas inscription to previous owner. All interior pages are clean and nicely bound. There are no torn, bent or missing pages. Other than gift inscription there is no addition writing on any of the pages.
