I call it an oddity because the cover was rather crudely but lovingly rebound in leather. The original covers are under the leather cover. It's actually quite practical and a really good fit.
But this book has really been through it. Plenty of wear all over. The cover is completely detachable. Pages are yellowed and some have stains or marks.
It looks like a few of the back pages are missing as the index only goes to the letter N. All the remaining pages are intact, albeit a little rippled but the pages turn and it's totally readable. Be aware it is only volume 1. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have. A unique, rare and odd antiquity!See pictures as part of the description and thank you for looking!
