RARE Antique 1921 FIRST EDITION Monday or Tuesday VIRGINIA WOOLF 1st Ed WOODCUTS

  

Up for sale is this very scarce 1921 first edition copy of Virginia Woolf's Monday or Tuesday. This copy contains 4 woodcut illustrations by Virginia Woolf's sister Vanessa Bell.

This was a rather limited first edition and is one of only 1,000 copies that were hand set and printed with Leonard Woolf's assistance at Hogarth press in Richmond. The covers have some general wear as seen in the photos, as well as edge and corner wear. The binding on the book is good, though there is a very, very slight and minor bowing to the boards. The front and back end papers have some tanning as seen in the photos. There is some offsetting on the pages near the wood cuts and page 36 has some smudging as seen in the 8th photo.

A few pages have some minor wrinkling to the top corner as illustrated in the 7th photo. Besides that there might be the very, very occasional light, slight and minuscule stain, but generally the interior is clean. All in all a really scarce true first edition copy of Virginia Woolf.
