The Yellow Kid was a prominent cartoon character in American newspapers of the late 1800s and early 1900s. His shaved head and bare feet were typical attire of immigrant ghetto kids. This particular Yellow Kid doll appeared in the UK in Gamages 1903 catalog, there being described as an'Ugly Doll' because of his characteristic big ears. This is only the third one I've seen in six years making him a rarity and moreover in very good condition considering his 115 years of age. Twelve and a half inches tall.
