Pages are not that dark -just taken w/out flash [true = 3rd picture]. They are crisp, clean, and white [very lightly toned at edges].
Corners bumpes, wear to ends of spine, boards and textblock secure, EXCEPT- it is heavily cracked in the middle, THE LAST PAGE IS SLIGHTLY LOOSE, AND one of the free endpapers in back is ripped in half. Back cover looks about as good as the front.
Only 1 page for index illustrations is shown -there's another page list of ills. An absolutely great book on the history of the train from it's begining in 1790! Downsizing my huge book collection, check back now and then to see what's new! Most of my books sell for less than the other guys! I sometimes have books posted in "antique -books and manuscripts". Let them know if this makes you as upset as it made me!
