RARE Antique 1851 Historical Collection State of NJ New Jersey 120 Engravings- -- containing a general collection of the most interesting facts traditions biographical sketches anecdotes etc relating to history and antiquities with geographical descriptions of every township in the state illustrated by 120 engravings by john w barber and henry howe publihsed by benjamin olds for justus h bradley in the year 1844 on the printing page however the census is for 1850 and the post masters page is for 1851 so this is either 1851 or 1852 -- a very old nj history book -- edge chipping to cover boards , general wear discoloration, fading, dirt, smudges, spots, edge nicks, slits, small tears , flaking chipping, corner wear, foxing , oxidation, staining and water spots or water marks on pages and edges at various areas throughout - some inner binding seam page split spots though binding as a whole is still completely in tact and actually in very good shape for a well over 150 year old book -- over 50 large photos for you to best judge condition for yourself on this rare book of NJ history despite its flaws - crinkling and holes / tears , folds, creases / bends to pull out map -- some of the engravings have color appears to be hand colored embellishments - bottom right page edges of about last 40 pages with some chew spots - book is over 500 pages Please see pics for best judgement of condition.
