Numbered and registered #22 of only 26 sets printed, it appears that 8 of these sets are in institutions leaving only 18 sets in private hands. This is a subset of the original 18 vol set but comprises of all of the Dramatic Works and Life of Dryden, by Sir Walter Scott. Fine binding by Croscup & Sterling, N. Handsome dark blue Morocco leather over moire marbled boards. Display features raised bands, 3 gilt ruled compartments and lettering. All page edges are gilt. Each volume opens with a color frontispiece and has additional gravure plates. The interiors are excellent, on quality paper. The exteriors have minor shelf wear. 8 3/4" x 6" x 2.
