The schoolbus box that these reading materials come in is fully intact, though it is a little frayed in a few spots. There is a bit of writing in marker on the outside of the box as can be seen in the photos. The teacher's manual also has a bit of writing on the front cover.
Apparently this was used to teach basic reading concepts to 1st graders - the lady I got his from was a former K/1st grade teacher for over 40 years. The lessons contained inside are divided into 5 sections - B, C, D, E, and F. Section B contains 30 lessons - B1 to B30 with two foldout cards for each lesson section B is missing lesson B28. Section C contains 45 lessons - a small number are missing. Section D contains 30 lessons all lessons are there but three lessons only have one card. Section E 45 lessons all are present but 3 only have one card. Section F has 40 lessons and is missing one entirely and four have only one card. So almost everything is here that was originally in the box with only a very small # of exceptions. Each lesson has unique and vintage artwork. I would speculate that this educational tool as it came out in 1967 was likely one of the first of its kind to prominently feature African-American children/parents/teachers in its artwork/lessons/stories. In any event, a very interesting and impressive piece of Americana. 1960s Vintage BRS Satellites Library for Beginning Readers Schoolbus SRA" is in sale since Sunday, November 11, 2018.
