This is a wonderful and very rare and historically important book. More details are listed below!
I recently acquired a collection of out-of-print antiquarian books from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries. A few were printed in the 17th century. The majority are about religion, theology, philosophy, education, sermons, thought, etc. I cannot wait for them to be welcomed into your antiquarian collections. An Answer to the Dissenters Pleas for Separation. Or and Abridgment of the London Cases. Wherein The Substance of those Books is digested into one Short and Plain Discourse. Cambridge: the University Press, 1701.The third edition, 326 pages. Measures 7 7/8"x 5 1/8" x 1.
Bumped, bent and peeling corners. Covers worn and peeling (design rubbed). 5 band spine good with legible gilt stamping. Rebound a long time ago. First page has bottom, right corner torn off. Title page very slightly detaching near gutter. No signs of water damage. Therefore I have no idea how much it is really worth. I know it is an important enough book to be reprinted.
