The African Sketch-Book by Winwood Reade is a rare, antique two volume set dating back to 1873. This is ONLY Volume II.

According to the book plate inside, this book belonged in the Library of the COLONIAL SECRETARY of Sierra Leone which is really amazing. Previously belonging to the Library of the Colonial Secretary of Sierra Leone. Published by Smith, Elder, & Co. First edition, illustrated with maps and illustrations, back pages are publisher's ad pages. Measures: 8" x 5 3/4" x 1 1/2.

Binding intact (a little loose). Colonel Secretary of Sierra Leone's bookplate inside front end paper. Tearing on inside hinges/end papers.

Corners are bumped and worn. Spine ends bumped and worn. Bubbling on back cover and a little on front cover.
