For sale is a rare antique collection of T. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom, Crusaders Castles along with Lawrence of Arabia the 30th anniversary pictorial history which is the film's authorized commemorative history. For added charm, a newspaper clipping about T. Lawrence of Arabia is a Doubleday first edition forts printing. This dust jacket has some minor wear at edges the inside flap of the dust jacket. The otherwise this book is pristine. Detailed photos of Seven Pillars of Wisdom: The Triumph are included for condition. Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc. Seven Pillars of Wisdom is the autobiographical account of the experiences of British Army Colonel T. Lawrence ("Lawrence of Arabia"), of serving as a military advisor to Bedouin forces during the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Turks of 1916 to 1918.

It was completed in February 1922, but first published in December 1926. Lawrence self-published before it was picked up by Doubleday. Crusader Castles is the Oxford University Press edition from 1988. Dust jacket has publication year and price written in pen in front inside flap.

Description: A new edition of the text on Crusader castles and their relation to the military architecture of the West written by T. The original text is reproduced without alteration with notes by the author, not included in the first version, and other editorial notes and details. Volume 1 contains the author's thesis, written in connection with his history examination at Jesus College, Oxford on the subject: The influence of the crusades on European military architecture to the end of the twelfth century. The letters (volume 2) are selected from those which Lawrence wrote while on visits to castles in France, England, Wales, and Syria, in search of data for the thesis.
