Description: Up for sale is an extremely rare and important book by Dr. Williamson describing in great detail the Imperial Russian Dinner Service by the Josiah Wedgwood Porcelain Manufactory. Otherwise known as "The Green Frog Service", this impressive and important service was the largest commissioned work ever undertaken by Wedgwood. The Green Frog Service was immense in size - 952 pieces in total - and illustrated in painstaking fashion numerous English manor houses and landmarks. The Wedgwood company designed this service for none other than Catherine the Great - a fitting recipient for a service of this magnitude. Illustrations are in the form of full-page monochrome plates, each with a protective overlay. Condition: Good condition for age.

Some mild foxing and slight spine separation underneath front hardcover. Inside pages in excellent condition with no damage or major signs of wear.
