With a few b/w engravings. Riding and driving [horses], hotels, the table, dinners, balls, funerals, calls and visits, conversations, letters, dress, Washington [DC] etiquette, stationary, invites, and more! As they are part of the description. Back cover looks just as good as the front but with a few small spots. Boards and text secure , but the inner hinges were cracked and have been glued back into place. The pages are all generally very clean -with just a few spots, but they are toned. The pictures [plates] were printed on different paper are are still bright and white. One small chip to the edge of the content page.

One of the plates had stuck to the next page and pulled away some, but it did not leave a hole -see the last picture. Inner hinges the paper had cracked and it has been glued back into place.

Otherwise - very good - excellent for age! Remember - when opening an old book, always have the cover supported! It's best to place it on a soft pillow. VERY RARE ETIQUETTE BOOK - grab it before it's gone!

This book is very old and. May have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]. Dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
