Curious Voyages To Philadelphia 1755 Antique Book Rare

  
A beautiful rare book that once belonged to M. Sermet, Director of the King's Farms, in Paris, France. The story follows a French Adventurer by the name of M. De Richordie as he sets out to the city of New Holland, Pennsylvania. During his travels, he gets shipwrecked and almost faces death several times. He learns about the different religious communities in the city, the different English language used, and makes judgements on the city to bring back to France. The editor who went along with M. De Richordie relates this story to Gulliver's Travels although claims it is all true. Condition Note: The book is in good condition, minor crack on the hinges of the front board, some rubbing wear along the spine and boards, minor foxing on the pages. The book is only a part 1 of 2.
