I have been collecting these books for a long time and I finally got all 15! And now it is time to send them along on their way. First of all, these are not all first editions, I was able to get my hands on two, please read carefully and ask me anything. These books are in pretty good shape, especially for being 120 years old.

Spines are intact, no pages are falling out, both covers anchored on, but there are idiosyncrasies specific to each book so I will take it book by book, book 15 to book 1. The Royal Book of Oz- (1921) true first edition, color plates, good condition.

Both pasteboards tight, cover intact, writing in dedication to "Olivie Gurtler, " there are 2 stickers on the outside pages of a section of text, I don't dare remove them but they are a possible repair. Front depicts a crowned Dorothy with Scarecrow sitting upon the Cowardly Lion. This book is often attributed to Ruth Plumly Thompson who continued the Oz series for L.

Frank Baum, with his loving blessing, posthumously, but this book was written by Baum before his death and merely edited and expanded by Thompson. Same publisher, (Reilly & Lee,) same illustrator, JNO O'Neill. Glinda of Oz (1920) True first edition, color plates, no writing. Green cloth cover and spine. Fabric of spine shows wear but pages are still bound tightly, fairly good condition.

Cover depicts Dorothy, Ozma, Glinda, Scarecrow, and tin Woodman. The Magic of Oz, (1919), dedication to Tommy O'Neill. Color and pasteboard are correct to first edition, (which was my understanding when I bought it,) but illustrations are black and white. Green cover is intact & untorn but inside is separating at bottom front left.

Back cover also shows fabric webbing but is intact. The Tin Woodman of Oz - (1918) in extremely good condition, with color plates, dedication to Jean Gurtler, cover dark blue and in good shape, no rips or tears, spine tight, corners fairly sharp. Pasteboard depicts a child in a witch's hat holding the noses of twin Tin Woodmen. Rinkitink in Oz - dark blue cloth cover, cloth has partially separated in front, held together with fabric's webbed interior. Black and white illustrations, corners a bit worn.

The Scarecrow of Oz - (1915) color plates. Blue cloth cover, spine and binding in excellent condition. 7 out of 8 of the corners are sharp, front bottom right corner shows wear. Cover is of scarecrow on post, covered with crows and "OZ" in green and red.

Tik-Tok of Oz - red cloth cover, in great shape, corners sharp, tight binding. Black and white illustrations, small red dye stain from cover bleed on bottom inside front cover, light staining to outside pages. All pages inside seem unstained. Front cover depicts Dorothy riding a mule and leaning on Tik-Tok the mechanical man.

The Patchwork Girl of Oz- Blue cloth cover, cloth of spine is detaching front right and separated fabric may have been mended. The rest of the cover looks pretty good but corners are not sharp. Black and white illustrations, pages tight. Cover illustration shows the Patchwork Girl holding a boy in a witch's hat with OZ in blue and red. The Emerald City of Oz- (1910) Green cloth cover in good condition. A few words written in the first couple pages, belonged to a child named Mike. Pages are tightly bound, cover is Ozma on a live sawhorsewith the Emerald City in the background. Oz is in red, black and white illustrations throughout. The Road to Oz- (1909) red cloth cover, faded but in good repair.

No rips or tears, tight binding, minor mildew spotting to front cover, small stain on bottom left outside of pages, inside pages look good. Cover is Dorothy in a sun hat with lion, scarecrow, and Tin Man in background. The Lost Princess of Oz - (1917) Color plates, rare.

Dark blue cloth binding in very good shape, no rips, tears, or separation. Pages and spine tight, zero water damage or page discoloration. This is a stunning copy.

Cover depicts a frog with a cane and crowned Dorothy in a white dress. Oz is written in red and light green.

Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz- (1908) With color plates. Green cloth cover is in okay shape, inside front is cracked, back has torn fabric and minimal separation.

Corners are not too bad. No water damage or stains visible, book is in readable condition although it might be risky. The cover shows Dorothy in a blue sun hat with a cat looking at the wizard who balances piglets on his shoulders.

Ozma of Oz - Blue cloth cover, completely intactbut a few spots of fading on spine. Some of the black and white illustrations have been neatly colored in. Small tear on curtain illustration on pasteboard front cover. Binding is tight, pages are firm and unstained. No water damage or smells.

Front cover shows Ozma in a red dress parting a curtain and behind her is an audience of her subjects, behind whom sits her castle. The Land of Oz - (1939) Red cloth cover in pretty good shape. Not worn but you can see the webbing when you open it. Spine is a little loose.

All pages and black and white illustrations are firmly in place. Some fading to front cover.

Picture is of the scarecrow shaking hands with the Tin Man. The Wizard of Oz- Well, this is my least valuable copy, I was really holding out for a first edition but, well, it costs somewhere from 4,000 to a zillion dollars so I never made it. This book has a green cloth covervin very good shape, from 1956, with no color plates. The illustrations are in a single primary monochrome, red, yellow, and blue.

So, in summation, 15 terrific books, some of which are over 100 years old. I love the world of Oz, I had these books as a child, from my great grandmother, but my house burned down and I lost them. I had been keeping them in my attic and by the time I arrived, there was nothing there but ash raining down with phrases from the books that turned to nothing like snowflakes when they touched your skin.

There's no place like home... These books are magic to me. It has been a lot of fun to hunt down these treasures all of my adult life. You will see that people sell Oz books as first editions frequently because only the year first printed is usually on the publication page. 1918 and after, Reilly & Lee DID print first editions and i do have true firsts and they are glorious.

If I have been misinformed in how I have represented these books, please feel free to message me, I want the owner to enjoy these books as much as I have and revel in whatever memories they conjure up.
