Antique very rare edition book. Containing The Old And New Testaments.

Translated out of the original tongues: and with the former translations diligently compared and revised, by His Majestys Special Command. Printed at the Cambridge University Press, London. There is no printed published year present on the title page, however a previous owner inscription is dated 1937. The book is likely older than 1937.

The book measures 14cm x 20cm, 6.5cm thick. Please look at all the photos for the best understanding of the condition and contents. There are some clear signs of age, use and wear.

The leather cover has significant wear across the surface, very faded and worn along the edges in particular. The front and back board remain attached to the text block, although some wear is developing in the inner hinge, typical with being paper lined. Top and bottom of the spine are also well worn.

There is age/use related page discolouration/creasing dotted throughout. Overall the text block binding appears good and complete.

There are two black ribbon page markers, in worn condition. The page edges are gold gilded, visible scratching and fading noticeable. The previous owner has added noticeable margin notes and underlining throughout. There is a previous owner inscription on the front first end paper. Interestingly attached to the rear end paper is a large fold out family tree of Adam & Eve, hand made by the original owner and dated 1937.

Overall the book remains in good reading condition, with as described clear signs of age, use and wear. The previous owner margin notes and underlining, along with the family tree, show this bible was well used and treasured.
