By The Bay is an extremely rare, hard to find book of verse by Lucia E. Loring (Smith), frontispiece from a bas relief modeled by Bradetta L.
Of this edition only 250 copies were imprinted by the Tomoye Press, San Francisco, for Paul Elder & Company, under the direction of J. Nash, in the year nineteen hundred & nine. It is in good to very good overall vintage condition. There is a little fading on the cover boards and spine, the corners are bumped and bent a tiny bit, some pages have minor creasing, front pages have discoloration from pasted newspaper articles about the book. The binding is tight, and the pages are clean.
