With an Introduction by Charles Morris, author of A Manual of Classical Literature, and The Aryan Race: Its Origin and its Achievements. First Edition, printed 1889 by Trübner & Co, London. The book measures 13.5cm x 19cm.

Like many, she questioned the similarities between Christianity and older religions from other parts of the world. After extensive study, she produced in 1889 Aryan Sun Myths, The Origin of Religions, a scholarly work that thoroughly describes and analyzes the overlaps between preexisting systems of belief and Christianity. Touching on key aspects of most religions (in particular, symbology, cosmology, and dogma), Titcomb provides a compelling tour of Egyptian, Hindu, Celtic, Buddhist, Aztec, and Arabian mythologies, pointing out their similarities to-and possible influence on-the relatively new Christian tradition.

From the ubiquitous Tree of Life to the Crucified Savior, Titcomb offers a fascinating glimpse into the design of Christianity, the most popular religion in the modern world. Please look at all the photos for the best understanding of the condition and contents. There are some signs of age, use and wear. The hard cover has visible surface wear, along the edges in particular, also some discolouration and fading.

There is some occasional age/use related page discolouration/creasing dotted throughout. All text is clearly legible. Overall contents binding appears strong, tight and complete. The inside hinge of the rear cover has some visual splitting of the paper liner, this does not affect the strength of the attachment. There are some previous owner margin notes and underlining in pencil dotted throughout the contents. Overall remains in good reading condition for its age, a very rare edition, with as described clear signs of age, use and wear.
