Antique, Rare Coles's Concordance, 1847 George Coles Leather Book. This concordance is in very nice condition, considering it's age. It has all 960 pages. A few pages (4-8) in the front and the back are lose from the binding.

The following written presentation information is on the first page behind the cover. July 12 - 18 Elder Joel H. Austin, Box 580, Burlington Iowa. Presented to Clara Perry 1879. There is a separate book marker that was in the concordance. There is a picture of a man on one side and printing and hand writing on the other. The hand writing reads Elder Joel H. Austin, June 28, 1879, Pastor Spring Creek Baptist Church. Reynolds, Photographer, 211-1/4 & 311-1/2 Jefferson St. Duplicates furnished at any time. Based on the information, I believe the photo is either Mr.

Reynolds or more likely Pastor Joel Austin, see photo. There is no record of the history after it's presentation to Pastor Austin.

It was in the library of one our family member's estate items from the 1940's to early 2000's. He was a Baptist minister that served in several churches in the Pacific Northwest (Idaho, Oregon & Washington) during the late 1900's. This book will go well with someone's collection or used for display.
