A fascinating series of original Chinese paintings , painted on Pith paper, contained in their original red silk bound book. They are a series of 12 hand painted images detailing crime and punishment in China and date to around 1870. The colours are as bright and vivid as the day they were painted due to being contained in the book. Each subject is titled and numbered in English and the border of each picture is framed with silk ribbon.
