This is an original antique deluxe souvenir book titled. Published by the Union Bank Note Company of Kansas City, Missouri.
This is a large soft cover book of about 86 pages plus the covers measuring about 9.5" x 12.25" with Art Nouveau style artwork on the front cover. This book is filled with photos and graphically interesting advertising all relating to Kansas City along with text describing different aspects of the city in detail. Sections include Parks and Boulevards, Railroad Interests, Livestock Interests, Grain Interests, Financial Interests, Agricultural Implements, Manufacturing Interests, Schools, Churches and more. The first section covers the Commercial Club of Kansas City which was a civic organization of business leaders and others that probably had some involvement in the publication of this souvenir promotional book for the city in 1902. This book has a small one inch hole in one page toward the end and is otherwise fully complete. Some pages toward the front and back have a light trace of staining and there is some dust staining, and light soiling to the covers and a couple stains on the back cover. Some pages toward the front have creasing to the tip of the lower right hand corner and there is some slight creasing to front cover and some wear on the edges. There is a small address label affixed to the upper right hand corner of the title page. The covers detached but are still joined together and everything is laid neat back together.
