This is a second edition of this Bible overall, and the first by this publisher, the first edition of this parallel gospel was 1827 by The American Bible Society. The English (King James Version) and Mohawk languages are facing as pictured. This Bible conforms to Darlow & Moule 6802. No copies online that I could find at the time of listing, only in some University libraries. This book is in very good condition or so.
It has some wear and tear, shelf and edge wear, soiling, nice gold gilt on. The spine and other fine features. Binding is well attached, hinges aren't cracked. The front outer joint is separated at the top at the spine about 3/8. Neat original inscriptions at the front, including one dedicating this particular copy from the publishers to the "Young Ladies Mohawk Bible Society - May 7th, 1833, " this page also has a corner torn off as pictured. Some light foxing at the end. Pages are a trifle stiff. No other writing, no loose pages, dog ears, water damage, etc.
I would ask you to see the pics to get a good idea of it's condition, and I would be happy to answer any and all questions, or provide more pictures if needed. This would be an awesome authentic addition to your collection, or a great gift for that collector in your life, and would look great sitting in your library!
