The Natural History and Antiques of Selborne in the County of Southampton. Observations on Various Parts of Nature. The two volumes are bound together in the very handsome original tree calf leather.

Binding has been professionally restored by rebacking the spine with new leather--it was done quite well, as I almost didn't notice it the first time I picked it up. Leather has a few scrapes and rubbed areas, but, for the age, is still in amazing condition. Internally, the binding is tight and square. Some plates are lightly toned; otherwise, pages are clean. A previous owner, Fred Barlow, attached his bookplate to the inside cover and signed the top corner of the same page with the date 1850. Overall condition: Very good +. All 12 original plates are present. 1 fold out, 2 vignettes on title pages, 1 hand colored, 1 tailpiece, and the remaining are full page engravings.
