First numer of leaves are detached and loose, lacking only the last page of the Index in the rear. All Bible Text, Isaiah-Revelation and the Apocrypha is Totally Complete!!! NOTE: This Ultra Rare & Ultra Scarce Bible contains the Complete New Testament! This Volume 2 Starts on the First Page of Isaiah as they were meant to and bound.

It Contains Isaiah-Revelation with the Apocrypha as designed and bound! This Volume 2 is Totally Complete save the last page of the Index in the rear!

This Volume also has Ink Notations about the Solar Eclipse of 1820 and is Signed by Avery Taylor! I can see this rare bird being rebound as a stand alone New Testament in a Red & Gold Morocco Leather Binding with Sterling Silver Corner and Center pieces! This Volume and Bible is the Rarest of the Rare! All the Tall Folios were said to have burned up in a Fire just after printing in 1762.

Only the Tall Folios were said to be Destroyed and only 6 are said to exist although there might be a few more. Due to a fire at the warehouse of the London Bookseller Benjamin Dod.

A circa 19th century manuscript note in the British Library folio copy states "Only six copies were preserved from a fire at the printers". This edition, usually referred to as the Standard Edition, contains the first printing of the hugely significant recension of the King James Version text by Dr. Francis Sawyer Parris, Master, and Librarian, of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and Henry Therold, fellow of Magdalene. In this Bible a serious attempt was made to correct the text of King James' version by amending the spelling and punctuation, unifying and extending the use of italics, and removing printers' errors. Marginal annotations, which had been growing in some Bibles since 1660, although excluded from others, were finally received into the place they have occupied ever since, sundry new ones being added. Lloyd's dates and chronological notes were also adopted and increased, and the marginal references were much enlarged. Moule, revised and expanded by A. In 1604 James VI, King of Scotland from his youth, became King James I of England, the first ruler of Brittain and Ireland. King James saw an opportunity to bring about a unity with the church service in Presbyterian Scotland and Episcopal England. King James appointed 54 learned scholars in the making of this new translation from the original Greek and Hebrew into English. For the Old Testament they used the ben Asher text, and for the New Testament they used the Greek text of Erasmus and a Greek and Latin text of the 6th Century found by Theodore Beza. They used Chapters (developed by Archbishop Stephen Langton in 1551) and Verses (the verse divisions of Robert Estienne).

It was completed and published in 1611 and became known as the "Authorized Version" because the making of it was authorized by King James. It became the "Official Bible of England" and the only Bible of the English church.

There have been many revisions of the King James Bible ie. 1615, 1629, 1638, and 1762. The 1762 revision is what we now presently know as the King James Version. DON'T LET SOMEBODY ELSE BEAT YOU TO THIS INCREDIBLE FIND!
