This book has an inscription in the front from Reverend John Nelson, which is Reverend John Nelson Darby that usually left the Darby off the end of his name because he was proud that he was named after his Godfather, Lord Nelson. Reverend Nelson was the founder of the Exclusive Brethren, and is considered to be the father of modern Dispensationalism and Futurism.

When he did an 11 lecture tour in Geneva in 1840 he signed copies of various influential books to a few people, which this one went to Amos Wheeler of New Hampshire that went to see the Reverend, and in common practice, signed the book on the last page to show he had finished reading the entire book. The book is in a beautiful condition as well as has a rare signage.
