Fine vintage example of a'secret' bar cabinet for a round decanter and four small glasses (clearly the glassware is not included). This vintage piece is made from REAL antique books that were re-purposed to create this mid century era gem.
Quality construction with gold leaf embellished leather lining the inside. Great shape overall, unmarked but believe to have been made in France.
Regardless a fine specimen oozing with character. About 10.25" tall, 8.25" x 8.25" deep; small glass holes about 1.75" diameter, decanter hole about 3, it weighs over 6.5 pounds.
Let me know if you have any questions. No breaks, no cracks, no bends, lid closes nicely etc.
Some glue residue is visible on bottom left hand side of fabric'hinge'-see 7th photo. Some light, reddish'touch up' showing on right hand side of bottom of spine, second to bottom book-see last photo. Otherwise near mint, the interior is very clean, no real wear or damage.
Outside shows expected signs of age and patina but no real damage, no hidden repairs etc. Makes a great appearance, solid condition. Clearly there is no decanter or glasses.
