Rare Antique 1871 Old & New Testament Gauffered Gilted Unused Family Bible Brass

  

This is a rare one here folks. Extremely beautiful and in great condition.

Embossed and gilted leather cover. Gilted and gauffered edge pages, with a beautiful floral pattern. Single hinged, die-cut and stamped, brass clasp. Contains both the Old and New Testaments. The birth record, marriage record, death record, and family portrait pages, are blank and unused.

Perfect for starting your own family heirloom. Pages with illustration still have the original protective sheets in between pages. Many beautiful, extremely detailed illustrations.

Very detailed all the way around. An excellent, museum quality piece of religious, and Christian history.

A great add to any antique book collection. And perfect to be used for your family, to be passed down through the generations. But it is essentially new old stock. The publishing date is 1871.

Printed in Philadelphia by William W. Patent dates for the cover and photo frames go back to the 1850's. There are no rips, tears, creases, or folds that I could find. The gauffered edges, and gilting, on the edge of the pages is in excellent condition. The brass strap is in excellent condition and doesn't even have a squeak to it.

The only condition issues are, the standard age and shelf wear, on the leather cover, and corners. Please check my other listings for similar items.
