RARE 1950 Patented Arts & Crafts James B. Gooken Wood Turn-Style Book Nook

  

Wonderful handmade rare vintage Arts & Crafts era wooden oak table top turn-style revolving book nook. Marked and made by James. Gooken of Corona Del Mar, California in 1950 (D Patent 161333).

Great to hold and display collectible books. Original makers label is still attached to the bottom of the book nook. Measures 11.5 inches by approx.

7 inches in height, with four sections each measuring approx. 5 inches by 5.5 inches deep. In great condition with standard age and wear use; however, this only adds to the character. Minimal oxidation on two of the screws on bottom of turn style; however, this does not affect the movement of turn style and could be resolved by cleaning well with an oil spray lube.
