BOOK SEWING FRAME WITH 10 KEYS (Fish). VERY RARE ANTIQUE SOLID QUARTER-SAWN TIGER OAK. TENSION IS ADJUSTABLE VIA KNOB ON TOP.

BRANDED "PRYDERI" AFTER THE MYTHOLOGICAL WELSH KING ON BOTH SIDES OF TENSION ADJUSTMENT ARM. Platen (flat place for book) is nice and large 13" x 13-1/2". Frame is 18-1/2" wide, 15-1/2" deep and 20-1/2 tall.

Wood dowel joint construction visible with decorative supports on frame uprights. Wonderful dark color wood stain with nice patina. I have had this for a long time when I planned on learning the bookbinding craft. I have numerous book presses collected over the past 40 years and have never seen another sewing frame like this. Truly an exceptional one-of-a-kind antique piece that is still functional.
