Aunt Carolines Dixieland Recipes - A rare collection of choice southern dishes. First edition, printed in 1922. Antique treasure trove of dainty, appetizing and tasty dishes of the southland relayed to the author by Aunt Caroline Pickett, a famous old Virginia cook.Each recipe has been analyzed, tested and recorded by the authors. This 96 year old book is in very good condition. The 147 pages are not dog eared, torn, ragged or stained.
There is edge discoloration due to age. The cover is still attached to the back binding and cardboard with the exception of the top left inside cover where the fabric edge has loosened slightly. There are some stains on the fabric, front and back as well as the title plate.
The first page has Bobbi O written in the top right corner. If Bobbie was the owner of this book she took excellent care of it. The back of each recipe page (left side of book) are blank with only a heading Miladys Favourite Recipe.
Bobbie did not write down any of her favourites. The condition of the book as well as some of the content is represented in the photos.
