Up for sale is this great antique 1798 leather bound copy of the Thomas Sheridan's Lectures on the Art of Reading. It contains both parts 1 and 2 and is complete unto itself. Is overall in good condition. The leather covers have some minor wear as illustrated in the photos, there are some very small sections of partial cracking to the outer leather joints, but the binding of the book is good and sound, and seems pretty strong.
The pages are toned from age but mostly clean with the just the occasional light foxing/tanning/staining. There are a very small amount of pages with period notations in pencil (about 3-5 pages or so) and a penciled name to one the front inside cover. There is a tear to the bottom of page 8 as illustrated in the 6th photo. Along with that there may be the occasional page with some kind of minor imperfection such as a small tear or chip, minor marking or some other small imperfection that comes with a book this age.Generally though, the content is nice and clean. All in all a nice 18th century book on the Art of Reading. Please look at the photos to further note the condition and message me with any questions you might have.
