It is our pleasure to offer for your consideration from our personal collection in our smoke-free home. A rare, 226 year old, 1793 Large Antique Family Bible with many gorgeous, highly detailed illustrations. Printed by Mark & Charles Kerr, His Majesty's Printers, Edinburgh.

It was professional rebound with dark brown leather spine, hinges and covers. Printed on the front page: THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENTS: TRANSLATED OUT OF THE ORIGINAL TONGUES; AND WITH THE FORMER TRANSLATIONS DILIGENTLY COMPARED AND REVISED, BY HIS MAJESTY'S SPECIAL COMMAND. APPOINTED TO BE READ IN CHURCHES.

"EDINBURGH: Printed by Mark and Charles Kerr, His Majesty's Printers". The covers are in nice condition and present well, and they are firmly attached. They have light wear and scratching. The back cover has a long scratch on it. This Bible has overall wear and aging.

The pages have foxing, spotting, and yellowing throughout from age. They have some edgewear, and a number of the pages have rips, tears and missing edges.

This Bible has wear but is still a. Book and is a rare collectible book with historical value. 12-1/4" tall x 10" deep, and 2-7/8 wide. Please review the pictures as they are a part of the description.
